Sources
The catalog of connectable apps, the seven that bring knowledge in, how each is kept in step, and what connecting does and does not do.
The catalog#
The Sources page lists 1,035 apps, searchable and filterable by category and status. The catalog is Nango's provider list, snapshotted into Breno. Every app in it can be connected. Only those marked Ingests knowledge also bring content in, and that badge is computed from what is actually implemented, so it cannot promise more than the product does.
Apps that bring knowledge in#
| App | Brings in | Kept in step by |
|---|---|---|
| Slack | Messages, as per-sync digests | A webhook (verified), plus scheduled sync. A deleted or edited message is applied to that one message. |
| Google Drive | Files | Scheduled sync using Drive's changes feed. Deleted files move to Trash. |
| Gmail | Scheduled sync. Deleted messages move to Trash. | |
| Notion | Pages | Scheduled sync. Deleted pages move to Trash. |
| GitHub | Repository content | A webhook (verified), plus scheduled sync. Deletions move to Trash. |
| Jira | Issues | Scheduled sync. Deleted issues move to Trash. |
| Linear | Issues | Scheduled sync. Linear gives no deletion signal, so removals are not propagated. |
For everything else in the catalog, connecting records the connection but no content is synced yet. You can ask for an app to be added through the contact page.
What every synced item records#
Its connection, the item's id in the source, its address, its author, and when it was created and changed at the source. See Provenance and sync.
How each connects#
An app connects either with a sign-in through a popup (OAuth) or with an API key you paste, as the catalog entry says. Credentials are stored encrypted. Only Owners and Admins can connect, reconnect or disconnect.
Limits#
- Full listings are capped per provider; past the cap, deletions are not propagated and the job log says so.
- Connecting does not copy the source's permissions. Items arrive workspace-visible with sensitivity
internal. See How access works. - No live end-to-end test against real accounts exists for the priority sources; they are covered by fixtures and fakes. See Known limits.
