Meeting minutes
Turn a transcript, a recording or a live recording into a summary, the decisions made, and action items with owners, and link Zoom recordings.
Meetings (under Knowledge, Add to knowledge, Meeting) turns what was said into a record: a summary, the decisions made, and action items with owners. The minutes are saved as an item, so they are searchable and citable like everything else.
Create minutes#
Open Meeting Minutes and choose how to provide the meeting:
| Mode | What you provide |
|---|---|
| Transcript | Paste the meeting transcript. Give the meeting a title if you want one; it is optional. |
| Audio | Upload an audio file. It is transcribed, then summarized. |
| Record | Record in the browser. |
Choose Generate minutes. When it finishes, the meeting appears in the list on the page.
Read the minutes#
Select a meeting to see:
- Summary: what the meeting covered.
- Decisions: what was decided. These also appear in Memory, then Decisions, linked back to the meeting. See Memory and decisions.
- Action items, each with an owner where the transcript names one.
Zoom recordings#
If your workspace has linked its Zoom account, Zoom Cloud Recordings sync automatically and a note on the page says so. Link it under Settings, then Workspace, in the Zoom recordings section, by entering your Zoom account ID. A recording from a Zoom account that is not linked to any workspace is refused, so one workspace cannot receive another's meetings.
After the meeting#
The minutes are an ordinary item: ask about them, cite them, set their visibility and sensitivity, put them in a space, and export them. A private team meeting can be made Only me or placed in a space from its page. See Organize knowledge.
